According to the information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 510 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 at the moment. 172 of them are treated at home, 338 – in two infectious diseases hospitals, the total workload of which is 93% (221 beds (90%) are occupied in the Slobodzeya hospital, 117 (97%) in the Rybnitsa hospital. 29 carriers of the virus were transferred from home to hospital treatment between the 23rd and the 29th of August. 60 people or 18% of the total number of citizens currently hospitalized, are seriously affected by the coronavirus, 19 are patients in intensive care units, two are connected to ventilators. 290 Pridnestrovians are in self-isolation at home.
3226 samples of biomaterial of citizens with suspected infection were examined during the week (263214 during the entire time of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 360 cases. The average daily incidence is 51 cases (44 a week earlier). 52113 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic in total. 1271 carriers of the virus died, 2.4% of cases (six deaths in a week), 50332 people – 97% of those infected – coped with the disease (269 recovered during the reporting week).
5006 Pridnestrovians underwent a full course of vaccination from 23 to 29 August. In total, 90789 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic or 23.7% of the adult population.
