Vadim Krasnoselsky, accompanied by the leadership of the local administration and the city council, being on a working visit to Grigoriopol visited some of the reconstructed objects. The President examined the city square. There are ongoing renovations, which should be completed by early September. Traditional celebrations will be held here on Republic Day, the rehearsal of which took place today in parallel with construction work. Vadim Krasnoselsky gave some recommendations and current instructions related to the further improvement of the central part of Grigoriopol. He asked how the construction of a shopping center is progressing, which will also house a meat and dairy building for selling local products. He visited the territory of an open-type sports complex under construction in the city center, examined the future football field. Vadim Krasnoselsky focused on the need to install a fence around the perimeter of the sports facility. He asked if there is a football team in Grigoriopol and if the children are very interested in this sport. The President was told that there is a football section in the city, in which there are 12 groups.
The expected dates for commissioning the facilities were discussed. The readiness of the locations is different. It was decided to organize a general festive event on the occasion of the complete transformation of the central sector of the city in the second half of autumn.
The President focused on the kartodrome in Grigoriopol. This is the only object of this kind in the republic. The track more than a kilometer long appeared in the city in the early 1990s. After the presidential visit in 2018 the karting was included in the PMR Register of Sports. This will allow Pridnestrovian athletes to participate in international competitions and hold them at the Grigoriopol kartodrome. It is planned in late September - early October to organize here the first stage of the Moldova carting championship, and on October 31 - the republican championship "Dniester Autumn", the Head of the Grigoriopol administration Oleg Gabuzha told the President. Road repair works should be completed by this time.
Vadim Krasnoselsky asked about the number of active athletes and technical equipment. Today, 12 people are engaged in go-karting. They have their own cards. The President instructed to work out the issue of purchasing racing mini-cars - to prepare a certificate on the cost of karts, market offers and existing needs. The President drew attention to the need to prepare garages on the territory of the karting track and think over the accompanying infrastructure.
