Pridnestrovian boxers at Armenian international training session

Tiraspol, January 15. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At that moment, the Pridnestrovian boxers of the sports complex “Vityaz” are in Armenia at a training session. Vladislav Gudz and Andrey Kiryakov are training to return to the international ring in the spring. Pridnestrovian fighters will compete in the U-22 European Championship as early as March. The Old World Forum will take place on the Italian island Sardinia. The sportsmen will perform in April at the World Youth Championships, which to be held in Poland.

“Our boxers are with athletes from other national teams in a great sports atmosphere. Their trainings are joint with Armenian and Ukranian teams. For our boxers such experience sharing is very important, moreover on the serious international starts threshold” the PMR honored coach Maxim Chertykovtsev emphasized.

The international training session takes place at the Olympic base of Tsykhadzor. That is a modern mountain ski resort, located at a height of 1,845 meters above sea level in a picturesque valley. For efficient training all the conditions are eminently suitable, the “Vityaz” sports complex coaches Anatoly Dovgopol and Maxim Chertykovtsev noted.

“A solid basis is building exactly on such training sessions, but the overall physical condition’s background is working through mountain conditions. The air in mountains at a height of 1,845 meters above sea level enriches blood with oxygen. That is very healthy for boxers during the training process,” Maxim Chertykovtsev explains.

The first training session should always last from 21 to 24 days. In Tsykhadzor, our Tiraspol boxers will train until January 29. Then, already at home, they will continue preparing for the European and world rings.
