New structure of the Supreme Council of the 7th convocation approved

Five committees will work instead of eight

Tiraspol, December 8. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Supreme Council of the seventh convocation will have five committees and three standing parliamentary committees. The decree on their approval was adopted by the deputies at the first plenary session today.

It should be reminded, that eight committees were in the sixth convocation. Due to the reduction in the number of deputies, it was decided to reduce the number of working bodies of the parliament, according to the press service of the Supreme Council.

In the seventh convocation will function:

  • The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance. Viktor Guzun was elected the Chairman. The committee included V. Kravchuk, D. Ogirchuk, V. Levitsky, A. Mezhinsky, Y. Kucherenko, P. Shkilnyuk;
  • Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement Agencies, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping Activities, Protection of the Citizens’ Rights and Freedoms. Galina Antyufeeva was elected as the Chairman. The Committee included O. Petrik,V. Babchinetsky, E. Gushan, V. Lipsky, S. Stepanov;
  • The Committee on Social Policy, Healthcare, Labor, Family and Childhood Issues. Sergey Cheban was elected the Chairman. The committee included I. Tyuryaeva, Y. Galak, V. Kunitskiy, V. Matveichuk, V. Pelin;
  • The Committee on the Agro-industrial Complex, Industry, Housing and Communal Services, Transport, Construction and Natural Resources. Oleg Leontyev was elected the Chairman. The Сommittee included A. Onufrienko, O. Baev, B. German, I. Nedelkov, S. Pisarenko, I. Yarych;
  • The Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Public Associations, Sports, Information and Youth Policy. Igor Buga was elected the Chairman. The Committee included G. Dyachenko, A. Safonov, R. Gareev, O. Vasilatiy and P. Shinkaryuk.

At the next plenary session, deputy heads of parliamentary committees will be elected.

In the Supreme Council, according to the regulations, there are three standing commissions. Their heads were also elected at the plenary session today.

  • The commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations was headed by Galina Antyufeeva (members of the commission A. Safonov, V. Guzun, S. Cheban, O. Leontiev, V. Kravchuk, V. Levitsky, I. Buga, G. Dyachenko, O. Petrik).
  • The commission on mandates, regulations and parliamentary ethics was headed by Grigory Dyachenko (members of the commission I. Tyuryaeva, A. Onufrienko, V. Matveichuk).
  • The Chairman of Counting Commission is Ruslan Gareev, the member of the Commission is V. Kravchuk.
