Tiraspol, December 1. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Russian State Duma deputies Sergey Chizhov and Artyom Turov met with compatriots from Pridnestrovie yesterday. They talked online about obtaining Russian citizenship, about the problems of pensioners and students, as well as skill improvement of teachers and doctors, the First Pridnestrovian TV channel reports.
Artyom Turov and Sergey Chizhov represent the interests of Pridnestrovia in the State Duma of the Russian Federation and often visit our republic.
“The meetings were always warm and pleasant. The citizens of Pridnestrovie, our compatriots, have always expressed the position, that we see the only one way. This is the way of cooperation and development together with Russia. And we support them. Russia will always be with you. We are the warrant, that together we have the unitary path to the future,” the deputy of the Russian Federation State Duma Sergei Chizhov noted.
All Russian communities of Pridnestrovia took part in the meeting. In their opinion, the procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship must be simplified and accelerated. As Sergey Chizhov noted, many evolutionary processes have taken place in the legislation of the Russian Federation in recent years.
“Definitely, a good decision, that has been made recently for the citizens of Pridnestrovie is that they can now obtain Russian citizenship without canceling another citizenship. This is also a big break. We still have to wade through this situation in order to simplify the obtainment of Russian citizenship by Pridnestrovians,” Sergey Chizhov said.
Also at the meeting they talked about improving the qualifications of teachers in Russia. Even in a pandemic condition, our teachers improve their qualifications, communicate remotely with Russian colleagues from the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.
“This opportunity was given to 120 Pridnestrovian teachers. And, as a result of these courses, they all will receive an official document on skills upgrading. And we know that this is also important for teachers,” Nikolay Zhuravlev, the coordinator of Rossotrudnichestvo projects in Pridnestrovie said.
Today, the deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation in the public reception office of the All-Russian United Russia political party in Tiraspol are receiving citizens.
