200 km in less than a day. Evgeny Borshch set a record by running from Kamenka to Tiraspol in 23 hours

The athlete dedicated his ultramarathon to the 30th anniversary of the republic and Tiraspol City

Tiraspol, October 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Ultramarathon runner, "iron man" Evgeny Borshch set a record by running 200 kilometers nearly through the entire republic in less than a day. He dedicated his race to the 30th anniversary of Pridnestrovie and the Day of the City of Tiraspol.

The race was started in the morning of October 17 in Kamenka, and in the following morning the athlete was already at the finish line, the republican stadium in Tiraspol. The athlete managed to run the distance in a little more than 23 hours, although Evgeny planned to spend 24 hours of actual time on the road from Kamenka to the capital.

Like-minded people joined him during different stages of the race, while he was also accompanied by a support team. Evgeny run to the finish line together with his family - his wife and little daughter. He also made a lap of honor at the Republican stadium.

Note that this was Evgeny Borshch`s second attempt to run through the entire territory of Pridnestrovie. Last year, he fell out of the race at the 155th kilometer.

In 2020, his attempt succeeded, and now the athlete plans to make such a race annual.

Evgeny Borshch is a holder of the “Iron Man” honorary title. In 2017, he did the triathlon in 11 hours 25 minutes: 3.86 km swim, 180.25 km highway bike ride and a 42.195 km marathon. In addition, Evgeniy is a multiple participant and prize-winner of international orienteering, triathlon, marathon races. He ran the Odesskaya Sotka ultramarathon (100 km along the Belt of Glory) in 10 hours 50 minutes, and he also completed this distance in a cross-country race in the Carpathians.
