Tiraspol, August 24. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. This year, 41 dairy farms got state subsidies. For each kilogram of milk handed over for industrial processing, they receive 1 ruble from the state budget. Compared to the last year, the number of manufacturers receiving such support increased by 2 times. The state plans to provide the domestic market with milk of its own production by 70-80%.
“Import substitution is the goal. Our residents will buy milk anyway. The question is what milk will they buy: imported or domestic. The state's task is to stimulate buying of domestic production,” Supreme Council press service quotes Oleg Vasilatiy, Head of the Committee on Economic Policy.
Grants are a good incentive for cattle breeders to buy modern equipment, to increase livestock, to create additional jobs.
Recall that the State Program for Agro-Industrial Complex Development 2019-2026 was adopted by the Supreme Council last year. It also includes the development of dairy livestock through the subsidization of Pridnestrovian agricultural organizations and peasant farms. Over 7 years, the state will allocate more than 100 million rubles for “dairy subsidies” (11-16 million rubles a year).
“There are positive results. The number of cattle is growing and its quality is improving. Conditions for animals keeping and feeding are changing for the better. We create incentives for our livestock industry to approach the most advanced levels of organization and management,” Oleg Vasilatiy said.
The implementation of the program for dairy livestock subsidizing continues. The state paid more than 12 million rubles to dairy farms as support for 1.5 years of the State Program for Agro-Industrial Complex Development. The program of milk subsidies fully justifies itself. And it should be continued, Oleg Vasilatiy believes.
