Tiraspol, April 12. / Novosti Pridnestrovya /. At once several settlements of Pridnestrovie – Tiraspol, Dubossary, Grigoriopol – celebrate today the 75th anniversary of liberation from the German-Romanian aggressors. Congratulations on this occasion to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and locals were directed by the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky.
«75 years separate us from the final liberation of Tiraspol from invaders. Spring day opened on April 12, 1944, a new page in the heroic history of the city – forces of the 37th army of the 3rd Ukrainian front put an end to the inhuman sufferings lasting 972 days. Tiraspol began to lead a peaceful life. Long ago tragic events of military years consigned to the past. But the festival of liberation and desire to live freely on the earth binding thread unite all generations of the citizens of Tiraspol», - it is said in the address of the President on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Tiraspol.
Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that «the memory of war heroes, of everyone who laid his life to the Victory will never be eclipsed out of our hearts».
April 12, 1944, it is forever entered in the history of Dubossary and the Dubossary district. This day troops of the 2nd Ukrainian front exempted Dubossary from a fascist yoke.
«With profound filial gratitude, we will remember courage and heroism of nice warriors-liberators. We will remember the courage of those who were not ceasing to resist per day invaders, struggling with enemies in order that the fascism was expelled from the homeland. Eternal glory to the heroes who died in the fight! Eternal glory to those who brought closer the Victory!» – Vadim Krasnoselsky noted.
The President also congratulated the citizens of Grigoriopol on the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the city and whole district from the German-Romanian aggressors.
On April 12, 1944, Grigoriopol was exempted by forces of the Red Army from the brutal occupational mode. This day which brought freedom from fascist bondage, put an end to mass sufferings became a celebration of courage, it is told in the text of a presidential congratulation.
