Tiraspol, March, 1. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At today's expanded meeting of the Investigative Committee, the results of the work of the department in 2018 were summed up. As the Chairman of the IC PMR Vyacheslav Brynzar noded, in comparison with 2017 last year the number of registered crimes decreased by 12.4%. It is the lowest crime rate for 16 years.
Together with the descending schedule of the registered crimes also very high solvability is recorded. On especially serious crimes it was 95.7%. This indicator records for 16 previous years too.
As Vyacheslav Brynzar noted in the report, due to modern technologies in conducting examinations investigation of especially serious crimes committed in previous years is possible now. At the same time, the he reminded that due to the genescopic examination which is carried out in Pridnestrovie since last year they managed to catch in Russia the serial killer lived in Tiraspol earlier.
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee emphasized that even the smartest criminal all the same will leave on the crime scene some biological mark sufficient for identification of the person by means of modern technologies which have the Pridnestrovian Law Enforcement Agencies.
At an expanded meeting it was emphasized more than once that those types of expertizes which in Pridnestrovie are carried out for a long time appeared in neighbouring Moldova quite recently. Before the Moldavian law enforcement authorities had to ask for appropriate assistance foreign colleagues.
