Tiraspol, January, 31. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The delegation of the U.S. Embassy to the Republic of Moldova led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Derek Hogan arrived in Tiraspol. The group of diplomats was accepted by the President of the PMR. It is Vadim Krasnoselsky and Derek Hogan's second meeting, the Press Service of the Head of the state reports.
After greetings interlocutors paid attention to the fact that the previous communication was limited in time, and expressed a mutual aspiration to more long and saturated dialogue.
The President of the PMR emphasized the business nature of interaction with the American Embassy, having noted the friendly and constructive approach of the parties to forming of a relationship. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the USA is an active participant of the negotiation process in the 5+2 format, and Pridnestrovie is interested in the continuation and development of bilateral dialogue.
The foreign diplomat, having confirmed activity of a position of the USA in work «A constant meeting …», emphasized that the American Embassy and the USA, in general, seek to do their utmost to promote the peaceful settlement of the Moldo-Pridnestrovian conflict.
Interlocutors in details discussed various aspects of the negotiation process and also questions of bilateral Pridnestrovian-American contacts. Also, they spoke about cooperation on the embassy line.
Derek Hogan expressed a desire to get acquainted closer with the republic, and after an official part of a meeting the President of the PMR, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and his deputy held for the US Ambassador and his colleagues an excursion on vicinities of the Bendery Fortress.
