Tiraspol, December, 26. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. From January 1, with the beginning of the new fiscal year, the law “On the republican budget for 2019” will come into effect. Today the document was signed by the head of state and published on the official website of the PMR President.
The consolidated budget revenues were fixed at 2,889,148,493 rubles, expenses - 4,593,312,476 rubles. The maximum size of the deficit amounted to 1,704,163,983 rubles (37.1 percent) to the marginal amount of expenditures of the state budget.
As it was written earlier by Novosti Pridnestrovya, the law on the budget was adopted by the Pridnestrovian parliament in the third reading on December 12. The final document was the result of the joint work of representatives of all government branches and the head of state, which lasted several months.
The main part of government spending is still occupied by socially protected items: the sources of funding are determined by them. At the same time, large sums will be spent on infrastructure development and business support.
Distinctive features of the document were the increase in wages to public sector employees by 7 percent and the continuation of the Capital Investment Fund program, which exceeds 221 million rubles. Under the capex program, 150 social infrastructure facilities are to be reconstructed in the coming year.
After the official publication, the law “On the republican budget for 2019” will come into effect on January 1 of the next year. Currently, city (district) councils are engaged in adopting local budgets.
