Tiraspol, November, 22. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Activity of the Dubossary Hydroelectric Power Station was discussed by the head of the state Vadim Krasnoselsky with the management of the company. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the energy sector, the Presidential Office, legislative and executive branches.
According to the Press Service of the President, a few years ago 25.8 million rubles were withdrawn from the profit with a return guarantee. Money does not return, and the plant requires modernization.
Manager of the plant Boris German said that the station has never been on a reconstruction since its launch 64 years ago. Two-phase upgrade project was developed in 1986, but even the first part has not been completed so far. More than 40 million rubles are needed to complete the reconstruction.
The second stage which implies the replacement of hydroelectric generators is even more expensive. The only source of financing is the depreciation fund. During two years, the company accumulated target funds in the deposit account, which were withdrawn in August 2015 by the Government’s decision and sent to the road sector. As a result, the reconstruction was not performed for three years aggravated. According to the head of the plant, it has aggravated the hydropower equipment.
Participants of the meeting agreed that the debt should be repaid, and the upgrade of the plant is to be gradually implemented. At the same time, it is important to develop a clear program with an accurate and reasoned list of tasks and costs scheduling delivery of the new equipment and payment for it.
Vadim Krasnoselsky, development of this program requires maximum possible cost optimization and outline of priorities. The President recommended the parliamentarians or members of the Government to launch an investigation at the power station by the Audit Chamber if it is necessary. The President Krasnoselsky stressed that the viability of the dam affects the issue of the national energy security.
