Tiraspol, 30 July. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At a meeting with the country's leadership, Head of Grigoriopol District Oleg Gabuzha, speaking about the results for the first half-year, focused on the priority of fulfiling social obligations and noted that during that period there were no violations related to the payment of salaries and pensions.
The district spent 80% of its own funds on public sector salaries. With regard to the economic indicators, production volume generally decreased (with a small decline in the power industry and a significant one - 23% - in the food industry), but individual sectors (e.g. forestry and wood industry) showed growth. Trade turnover also increased. The number of registered individual entrepreneurs went up as compared with 2017.
Especially important is an increase in the number of registered farm enterprises, which is connected with the ongoing work on the legalization of entrepreneurs and with the fact that local residents have an opportunity to rent small plots of land from the redistribution fund.
Oleg Gabuzha noted systemic work carried out by the district's state administration within the framework of the capital investment program. In addition to the eight objects originally included in the program, the building of a village school, which suffered from the recent floods, was repaired. The head of Grigoriopol also dwelt upon the temporary suspension of the work of a number of social and cultural facilities related due to fire safety violations. The president stressed in this connection that the control must be strict since it is a question of citizen's security, the president's press service reports.
