Tiraspol, 28 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. For several days now, dozens of Pridnestrovians have been bringing flowers to the Consulate of the Russian Federation in Tiraspol, lighting candles, leaving children's toys. The leadership of the capital also came to express grief over the victims of the Kemerovo tragedy.
"Unfortunately, we are coming to the Russian embassy with flowers on this sorrowful day. Perhaps this is what symbolises our relationship with the Russian Federation, that we feel pain as well as those people who suffered from this, in my opinion, the absurd accident, the absurd event that took a huge number of lives," said the head of Tiraspol, Oleg Dovgopol.
Families and working collectives are coming to honour the memory of the deceased and support those injured in Kemerovo. They are bringing icons and leaving notes.
"I want very much to express my words of support to all those who have remained without relatives and friends, who have lost children in this tragedy. We want the Russians, including Kemerovo residents, to know that we are close to them, that we will stay together with them in a difficult moment. Any words of consolation, of course, will not help now to survive this pain, but people should know that Russian world is a vast world of compassion," said the chairman of Tiraspol's city council Albina Ivanova.
The endless stream of people, indifferent to the tragedy, is coming to the consulate. There are many such people, but among them there are those who were born in Kemerovo. They say that for them the accident is a personal grief.
"This is a tragedy. I've been out of place in the past three days. It's simply horrible! Most of all I'm feeling sorry for the children; they are innocent souls; may them all go to heaven," said a resident of Kemerovo, who lives in Pridnestrovie.
