Moscow, 23 October. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The government delegation, led by the head of the government Alexander Martynov, is on a working visit to Moscow. The Pridnestrovians met the heads of Moscow departments to discuss the resumption of cooperation in the spheres of healthcare, public utilities and trade.
The cooperation agreement between the PMR and Moscow was signed in 2005, the government's press service reports. Many projects had been implemented during this period in various fields, including medicine, culture and social sphere.
"We discussed trade and economic cooperation, cooperation in the sphere of healthcare, education and reforms conducted by the Pridnestrovian government today. Special attention was given to assistance in the public utility sector," said Alexander Martynov.
The head of Moscow's department of foreign trade and international relations, Sergey Cheryomin, noted that Russia was ready to assist on a number of projects. The heads of the education and public utility departments are especially interested in cooperation.
"The members of the Moscow government showed the interest and desire to support compatriots. I think that now our further work will be more productive based on mutual contacts at the level of interagency departments and ministries," said State Duma member Alexey Silanov.
The parties also discussed the possibility of treating Pridnestrovian citizens in Russian hospitals, the supply of textbooks and interactive equipment to Pridnestrovian schools, the provision of road maintenance equipment, the establishment of economic relations. Sergey Cheryomin welcomed the idea of holding the Days of Pridnestrovie in Moscow. According to him, the city would be glad to see Pridnestrovian goods at such a fair.
