Over 500 applications submitted for participation in International economic forum

The applications have come from Pridnestrovie, CIS and non-CIS countries

Tiraspol, 4 July. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie will host the International Economic Forum that takes place from 6 to 8 July. Over 500 applications have been received for participation in the forum, including from CIS and non-CIS countries, the government's press service reports.

«Representatives of more than 15 countries have expressed the desire to take part in the forum so far. Most of them are from Russia, representing both state authorities and business community — potential investors. There will be the broadest representation of the key figures defining Russia's economic policy," said the deputy prime minister for strategic development and reforms, Alexey Tsurkan.

The forum, dedicated to general economic issues, is a platform to discuss draft decisions which are currently under consideration in the government and the Supreme Council.

According to Tsurkan, now the organisers are finishing to synchronise the schedules of foreign guests and form the programmes of panel sessions. It is important, Alexey Tsurkan noted, that «the panel sessions should be really interesting and discussions hot.»

«The most important thing is to discuss openly the government's steps towards business, that is, to build trust between power and business. As long as there is no such trust, it is premature to speak of any joint success," said the deputy prime minister.
