The presidential decree also instructs the Ministry of Education to consider the possibility of admitting the children of Pridnestrovie's defenders and veterans of the uniformed services to school out of competition and without entrance exams. Besides, the ministry was charged to transfer trainees from Marshal G. Zhukov Republican Suvorov School to Tiraspol Suvorov School through the same simplified procedure. The same decree liquidates the Zhukov military school.
The president announced the establishment of a Suvorov school in Tiraspol on 11 January during the enlarged meeting of the government. Vadim Krasnoselsky underscored that unlike the Zhukov military school, it should be a separate educational institution. According to defence minister Oleg Obruchkov, Tiraspol Suvorov School will practise agency-specific education, with classes assigned to specific uniformed agencies.
