Tiraspol, 17 November. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Hope has emerged that the plant will resume production. A Ukrainian owner of the plant arrives in Tiraspol today.
Litmash faced financial difficulties due to the Ukrainian events. Depreciation of currencies in neighbouring countries resulted in serious problems with selling high-quality goods. The plant came to a halt. Nearly a year ago the government offered benefits and delays in energy carriers payments, taxes, proposed to reduce loan rates. The owner, however, is also insisting on salary debt rescheduling. But this issue is not within the government's competence, the Ministry of Economic Development explains, as according to the law, salary debts are judicially recovered. And in accordance with the law, until workers do not receive at least the part of earned money with which law enforcement officers deal, it is not possible to unlock the account of an enterprise.
«We expect the owner will sign this agreement so that the plant could continue its work. But the desire of the government, the state and banks alone is not enough," explained the minister of economic development, Dmitry Boltrushko.
After a meeting with the owner, the government hopes, Litmash will nonetheless resume work, receiving assistance from the state.
