Tiraspol, 16 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Supreme Council have passed a law expanding the list of land shareholders. Now the list also includes not only the former collective farmers who were working at collective farms at the moment of land share distribution, but also those who resigned prior to that moment. At the same time, to enjoy the right for a land share payment, this category of former collective farmers must have the corresponding time record — 20 years for both male and female workers. According to the law, these citizens have the same rights as do state farm workers, and namely the right for material remuneration in money terms only, except for the right to demise a land share.
According to lawmakers' estimates, the number of shareholders will increase by approximately 1,000 persons. The annual expanses of the Land Share Fund will rise by about 700,000 roubles.
According to the agricultural ministry, today 39,782 persons have the right for share payments with 29,000 of them being former collective and state farmers. In 2015, this list, on the president's initiative, included 1,735 state farm workers with at least 25 years of service.
The distribution of collective and state farm land shares began back in 1998 as part of agricultural reforms in Pridnestrovie. However, land share payments had not been made until 2013. After the law «On securing state liabilities for settling with the citizens having the right for a land share» was passed, shareholders have been paid on a regular basis.
This year the amount of a share payment is 750 roubles per share against 700 roubles in 2014. Payments are made through Sberbank departments and will continue up to 1 October 2016. The amount of payments are determined in compliance with the law based on the rate of minimum wage level. The remuneration on land shares may also be received in natural units — no less than 300 kg of wheat.
