Tiraspol, 12 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Amendments have been made to the law «On population census in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic». According to these amendments, «the population census shall not be held in the period of electoral campaigns prior to the elections of the President, Supreme Council deputies, people's deputies of local councils, heads of village administrations (including settlements and towns), as well as during republican referendum campaigns.»
The present law shall come into effect as of the date after the day of its official publishing.
This law was passed in final reading by the Supreme Council on 27 January.
