Moldavskaya GRES increases electric power production by 19.5% in first half of 2015

The increase in production is due to the growth in energy exports to Moldova

In the first half of 2015, Moldavskaya GRES increased the production of electric power by 19.5% as compared to the same period in 2014. The total volume of production exceeded 2 billion kWh in the past six months. The increase in energy production caused the growth in the capacity utilization coefficient at the power plant from 16.53% to 19.76%.

«The increase in production and, consequently, the growth in the capacity utilization coefficient are due to the increase in electric power supply to Moldova," underscores the press bulletin of JSC Moldavskaya GRES.

The statement also says that in early July Moldova's National Agency for Regulation in Energy extended the licence of JSC Moldavskaya GRES for the production of electric power.

With over 99%, natural gas leads the field in the power plant's fuel balance; the share of mazut is less than 1%, and there is no coal at all.

JSC Moldavskaya GRES is part of the Inter RAO group, a diversified energy holding company participating in different segments of the electric energy industry in Russia and abroad.
