Anniversary of National Militia's formation was commemorated in Tiraspol

Flower-laying ceremony took place at the capital Memorial of Military Glory. To the strains of a military orchestra, the flowers were laid down on the memorial stone to the fallen Pridnestrovie's defenders

The Defense Minister Alexander Lukyanenko, the Pridnestrovie's defenders and militia veterans, the officers of the Pridnestrovie's Armed Forces came to pay tribute to the memory of the fallen heroes.

Exactly the militia carried this burden to defend the republic from the Moldova's armed aggression during that hard time.

"All conflicts are initiated by the politicians, but those who fight are the people. The National Militia of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic acted as a manifest of the people's will, those who defended our independence, our honor and our sovereignty," Alexander Lukyanenko noted.

According to him, the fighters of militia are still on duty, they support the Armed Forces in such hard job as the protection of the Fatherland.

The militia's commander Valery Ratushny told about the today's tasks faced by the National Militia in more detail. "Today, they continue improving; their structure underwent certain changes, but they still remain military units. Along with the regular military units, they are engaged in the military training and train the reserved military men," he concluded.

The events dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of the National Militia creation took place in all cities and regions of the republic today.
