The Tiraspol foundry machine plant has delivered the first upgraded chill casting machine with an electronic control system to the customer
The plant produced the foundry machines with the outdated relay control system earlier while the modern computerized foundry complexes gained the popularity in the market.
The idea to create a new control system appeared when Litmash participated in the premium international Hannover-Messe-2014 exhibition and negotiated with Siemens. Besides, the control panel and box for the machine was made exactly by Siemens.
This system was installed and set up, the components and assemblies were adjusted, the control program was checked at the plant just before the New Year's holidays. Thanks to the well coordinated work of the engineers, the machine fitters and the system’s design team the machine passed the commissioning trials program successfully.
Thus, they got an example of installing the similar systems in the other foundry machine types having the cycle operation and produced by Litmash.
The first machine has already been shipped to the customer in Orenburg.
In 2015 the enterprise plans to install a new modern electronic control system in all foundry machines. This will give a chance to increase the machine performance considerably, to reduce the rejects level, to computerize the manufacturing.
