The Нead of state held a meeting with the Government and the Supreme Council

The questions related to the current government budget implementation and also the drafts of the country’s main financial law for the next three years were discussed

The President’s press office reports the Prime Minister Tatyana Turanskaya, the Supreme Council Chairman Mikhail Burla, the First Deputy Prime Minister Maya Parnas and the Finance Minister Elena Girzhul took part in the meeting.

"According to the results of November, 2014 considerable budget income reduction is observed. Tax payments receipts were also reduced including the customs duties on the excisable goods category. The budget is actually implemented by about 82%," the Finance Minister Elena Girzhul informed. It was noted at the meeting that the budget income decrease is also connected to the progress of the negative factors influence on carrying out the Pridnestrovian business external economic activities.

It was also told that the budget draft amendments were made by the Government in light of the current situation and the near-term perspective assumptions. "We have refined the budget framework for the next year. We have offered to reduce expenditure slightly. Besides, we have suggested including the public utilities debt amount into the budget for the first time," Elena Girzhul reported to journalists.

Within a meeting the Government offered the President to establish the State Prize for the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic next five years development planning. It is supposed to involve the country’s brainpower including the scientific community, the Pridnestrovian State University teachers and students, other educational institutions and government representatives into this project.

According to the Prime Minister Tatyana Turanskaya there should be the offers for increasing the country’s enterprises competitiveness, the GDP per capita and the budget income, offers to upgrade the housing services and utilities system and other important fields of the state activity for this program. "The winner of the so-called competition will be awarded financial remuneration. In the upcoming session of the Government the regulations and the necessary terms for participation will be established. We hope that the realistic proposals will be submitted to the Government till March 1st," Tatyana Turanskaya explained.

It was also mentioned that such programs of social and economic development had been designed earlier, however they hadn't bring the expected results. In the end the President assessed the efforts of the Government positively and also set a number of tasks.
