Pridnestrovian president: "It is the shortest way of settling the conflict"
President Yevgeny Shevchuk noted that a self-determination referendum could be held if the Pridnestrovians' will is recognised and respected.
"It is the shortest way of settling the conflict and will resolve the problem with respect to the will of the citizens residing in the conflict zone. We are ready to consider the possibility of organising another self-determination referendum but on condition that the Pridnestrovians' will is recognised and respected," RIA Novosti quotes Yevgeny Shevchuk as saying in an interview with journalists.
