"The operation has demonstrated the efficiency of the small steps tactics, which was elaborated in the course of the negotiation process, and ability of Moldova's and Pridnestrovie's leadership to build cooperation and resolve practical issues," says the communication.
The Russian ministry recalls that in accord with the Russian government's instruction the emergencies ministry's detachment carried out the first stage of the humanitarian operation consisting in dismantling an industrial aerial cable way between Rybnitsa and Rezina during the period from 5 September to 5 October.
"Pridnestrovie and Moldova made a request for assistance in dismantling the cable way, and the corresponding decision was taken at the 5+2 Talks in May 2013.And Russia voluntarily assumed a commitment to carry out and finance dismantling activities by the Russian emergencies ministry's specialists The corresponding authorities of Moldova and Pridnestrovie also made a certain contribution. When carrying out the operation, the additional complication was that the cable way was in the Security Zone where any activity is regulated and should be agreed upon with the Joint Control Commission, fulfilling the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester's banks," underscores the ministry's official website.
Russia's foreign ministry states that the humanitarian operation has been carried out in a normal mode. At present the risk to the residents whose houses were under the cable way has been eliminated. The next stage of the operation is scheduled for spring 2015.
