A number of suggestions aimed at stabilising the economic situation were presented to the President
Yevgeny Shevchuk held a meeting on the present socio-economic situation with Chairman of the Government Tatyana Turanskaya and Minister of Finance Yelena Girzhul, the President's press service reports.
"The enhancement of domestic revenue collection and measures to optimize expenditure budget have been discussed. According to the minister of finance, as of July the negative situation in budget revenues showed a trend towards mingling," says the press release.
The minister of finance, Yelena Girzhul, also said that if the foreign economic situation did not aggravate, "the situation in the public sector would have been stabilised by October."
During the meeting it was also agreed to hold a conference at the Government with experts, members of the public and academic circles to design actions aimed at stabilising and developing the economy.
Yevgeny Shevchuk tasked the Government with adjusting the mechanism of calculating wealth tax paid by farm owners.
"Following the Government's report, the President has taken the decision to enact the bill "On Amending the PMR's Act "On Property Tax" providing for a tenfold tax break for farm owners," the press service reports.
