Tiraspol, March, 10. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Within a week the Pridnestrovians celebrated the Pancake week (Maslenitsa) – the holiday symbolizing the end of winter and the beginning of spring. Pancake week celebrations passed across all the republic. In the last day of Maslenitsa the center of the capital of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic became the venue of the holiday «Wide Maslenitsa». It was attended also by the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky.
An interesting entertainment program was performed for the citizens and guests of the capital. In the center of Tiraspol there were several musical platforms. Guests of a holiday took part in Pancake week entertainments and sports competitions, the Press Service of the President reports.
Throughout the day in the center of the capital exhibitions sales of arts and crafts creativity products, a photozone, portable trading floors will work, master classes will be held.
The holiday will be end with a traditional ceremony of burning of an effigy of Maslenitsa.
