It is about a number of the cases provided by the changes made to the order of the State Customs Committee «About Features of Calculation, Payment, Collecting and Return of Customs Payments and also Granting Privileges on Payment of Customs Duties».
The Press Service of the State Customs Committee specifies that as well as earlier, customs authorities will apply a preferential rate of charges for customs operations of 0.3% of the customs value of goods. The sum will be not less than 1 MWL (minimum wage level) concerning the goods placed by individual entrepreneurs under customs procedures of release for internal consumption and export and also moved with individuals for private use, which are subject to written customs declaring.
Besides, according to the changes, the lowered rate of customs duties for customs operations will begin to work since January 1, 2019, for the goods placed by domestic legal entities under customs procedure of export in an electronic form. Let's remind, the usual amount of payment of this type established by the Customs Code of the PMR (Paragraph 8 of Article 135) is 0.3% of the customs value of goods, but not less than 5 MWL.
The preferential order is not applied when importing by individuals of the vehicles declared in customs (customs posts) and also in cases of movement by individuals of the goods acquired for domestic legal entities for cash foreign currency.
The State Customs Committee pays attention that since January 1, 2019, the order of payment of customs duties for storage concerning the vehicles imported by individuals and declared in customs (customs posts) will change. By the end of the current year, this collecting was suspended as individuals incurred big costs. After the made changes in the Customs code and establishments of a different approach to a charge of payment of this type, the amount of customs duty for storage when importing vehicles by natural persons is reduced in many times. Since new year its collection at a rate of 2 MWL a day will be resumed.
