Tiraspol, 9 May. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A military parade has started in Tiraspol in commemoration of the 73rd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. A legendary T-34 tank drove along Tiraspol's main square with a replica of the Banner of Victory mounted on it.
Spectators will further see ten parade units, including students of the Military Institute in WWII uniform and with the banners of all fronts, marching past them. Cadets of the Tiraspol Suvorov Military School will take part in the parade for the first time.
The parade is being reviewed by the commander-in-chief, President Vadim Krasnoselsky.
Earlier today Tiraspol residents and guests took part in the ceremony of raising the flag of the PMR and the Victory Banner.
