Tiraspol, April 25. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The grounds for recognition of foreign citizens (persons without citizenship) as the residents of Pridnestrovie will be changed. The relevant amendments to the Exchange Regulation and Exchange Control Law have been passed by the Pridnestrovie's Supreme Council today.
As for today, the working rule establishes that the foreigners living in Pridnestrovie during 183 days under the registration are considered as the residents.
According to the new text, the residents are the foreign citizens living in the PMR using the Lawful Permanent Residence, or being in the territory of the republic for a minimum period of one year on the basis of the documents confirming the right for sojournment (temporary accommodation).
