Bendery, 27 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The scientific and educational centre of the Russian World foundation was opened in Bendery's polytechnic branch of Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University. It is already a third centre in our country. A similar centre has been functioning at SPSU since 2009, contributing to the development and strengthening of scientific and educational contacts between Russia and Pridnestrovie in various fields.
"This is Russian land, and I really want this centre not only to remind but also show you that you are part of the Russian world," said Rossotrudnichestvo senior specialist Sergey Skvortsov.
Non only researchers but also industrialists - theorists and practitioners - will be able to work here, SPSU rector Stepan Beril noted.
"This can be considered a new page in the work of our branch in Bendery as we are practically expanding the range of its capabilities, the field of action," said Beril.
"The center will include scientific and methodological associations, laboratories, Russian World room. This will be the area of multifaceted cooperation and communication both for scientists and for all those who are interested in science. A library and a reading room will be available to everyone. We also want to unite all educational institutions, including schools, lyceums, gymnasiums. After all, many schoolchildren are engaged in scientific work," said director of the Bendery branch Dmitry Porosech.
On the same day the centre’s library was replenished with new books - it was a gift from the Russian community "Dobrynya". The Supreme Council and Rossotrudnichestvo will also contribute to the development of the centre.
As Novosti Pridnesgtrovya reported on 12 February 2018, another centre of the Russian World foundation was opened at the premises of the Rybnitsa branch of SPSU.
