Tiraspol, 20 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The government proposes to legislate the obligatory placement of data storage systems employed by state authorities, local governments, state and municipal unitary enterprises on the territory of the PMR. The corresponding draft amendments to the law «On information, information technologies and information security» have been submitted by the government to the Supreme Council.
The explanatory note to the amendments says they are aimed at ensuring the protection of state-owned information resources.
The draft law also suggests, on the analogy with Russian legislation, that the mechanism of approving the requirements for the creation, development and bringing into service of state data storage systems should be established by the government.
