Tiraspol, 14 January. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Scheduled inspections of small and medium businesses by state supervisory authorities will be suspended in 2016. Unscheduled inspections will be carried out in case they are approved by the government. President Shevchuk signed the corresponding decree during a meeting with the country's businessmen.
«All state supervisory authorities shall suspend scheduled inspections of individual and legal persons carrying out entrepreneurial activities," reads the presidential decree. «Unscheduled inspections shall be approved by the government," it adds.
The republican prosecutor undertakes responsibility for the implementation of the decree. The decree will be posted on the president's website.
According to Yevgeny Shevchuk, this measure aims to boost business activity in Pridnestrovie.
It is noted that the president today met representatives of small and medium businesses to discuss businessmen's pressing problems. The discussants exchanged views on the country's business environment and suggested measures which they believe will boost business activity under economic crisis. The president charged the government to determine which state regulation tools can be suspended or abolished. Thus, for example, it is intended to narrow the list of jobs and professions which are subject to workplace assessment.
«The instructions which are given to the government in terms of monitoring business activities and reviewing our normative acts are very important steps to improve Pridnestrovie's business environment," Yury Ganin, head of Pridnestrovie's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, commented on the president's decision.
