Russian expert: International crisis caused by the Ukraine events tore the masks off and exposed the friends and foes

Today, both Kiev and Kishinev deal with Tiraspol from a position of strength. Now, there are obstacles for the movement of citizens and goods. De facto, there is an economic as well as information blockade.

However, social and economic isolation has always been used to achieve certain political goals. President Yevgeny Shevchuk always reminds about it implying the continuous pressure policy of Moldova and Ukraine against Pridnestrovie.

«We have an old situation. It is aggravated by a number of political changes at our neighbors. We are imposed the economic conditions actually leading to the political requirements. We have always supported the dialogue both with Kishinev and Kiev mainly to solve the pressure problems of citizens and economy," the Pridnestrovie's President Yevgeny Shevchuk emphasised in his interview to journalists during the live program of the Pridnestrovie's First Channel.

But, unfortunately, both Moldova and Ukraine rarely demonstrate their readiness for the constructive dialogue, and the violation of Pridnestrovians' rights and freedoms became the second nature of our neighbors.

Curator of the scientific and research programs of the RISI Dniester-Prut Сenter Vasily Kashirin says that official Moldova demonstrates by its behavior, including the undue pressure on the diplomats and other Pridnestrovie's civil servants, that it isn't ready for a normal, meaningful and constructive dialogue.

According to him, Kishinev wants to dictate own terms thinking that the present international environment is favorable for this. «It seems, he strongly overrates his capacities," Vasily Kashirin emphasized in his interview to the Novosti Pridnestrovya News Agency.

According to the Russian expert, the current international crisis caused by the Ukraine events tore many masks off and showed true attitudes and intensions of some sides, including those who has been called and considered friendly neighbors and partners of Pridnestrovie for a long time.

«The present authorities in Kiev, fairly considering Pridnestrovie as a natural ally of Russia and an integral part of the Russian World, try to do harm to the republic openly. Efforts to create a regional political formation «Kishinev-Kiev-Bucharest» are observed. Elimination of military, political and mental presence of Russia on Dniester and on the northwest Black Sea coast is one of their main goals. It is obvious that in this way the concerned parties, among other things, try also to solve a number of their own internal political and economic problems, probably thinking that the chosen policy will provide them with additional financial and moral support of the Euro-Atlantic structures. Of course, such approach will inevitably cause some changes in the Pridnestrovie's as well as Russia's line of policy in terms of the discussion concerning the future of all Dniester-Prut Region," Vasily Kashirin noted.

In such difficult, first of all, economic situation, Pridnestrovie continues to get full support rendered by the guarantor and a foreign policy guide of the republic, i.e. the Russian Federation.

«Competent authorities of Russia and the expert community don't give up the idea to find the ways to entirely remove or ease an economic and transport blockade of Pridnestrovie. Recent opening of the Russian Certification Center in Pridnestrovie proves that fact, because its main aim is to simplify the access of Pridnestrovie's production to the markets of Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union. However, the experts and responsible leaders understand that roots of a problem don't belong to the economic sphere, but to the political one. That's why Russia, anyway and anyhow, will have to include the problem of Pridnestrovie in the agenda of negotiations with the Euro-Atlantic community in order to resolve the current crisis in Europe," Vasily Kashirin considers.

All difficulties should be responded with unity and tolerance of our nation, the Head of State believes. The civic organisations of the republic also support his idea.

«Certainly, it is always harder to go your way alone. Yevgeny Shevchuk is absolutely right when he speaks about the tolerance and the unity. I can add that we need the will of the people, their unity, patience and belief in indispensable victory. To put an end to the mutual hostile acts, one of the sides should stop doing harm and wisely return good for evil. Our Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic should be this side," the chairman of the Pridnestrovie's Moldavian Community Valeriyan Tulgara noted in the interview to our agency.
