Emergency situation that occurred the day before was the reason for the working meeting. Electricity was cut off throughout Pridnestrovie. They temporarily stopped supplying water and heating in towns and districts. According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, serious consequences were avoided.
Deputy Chairman of the Government – Minister of Economic Development of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Sergey Obolonik informed about the events held the day before. Thus, it was possible to supply electricity through a high-voltage line to Vulcaneshty. The HPP of Dubossary was launched. This electricity immediately began to provide social facilities. The tenth power unit was launched at the Moldavian GRES in the evening. Sergey Obolonik said that the system is stable at the moment, the quality of electricity is quite high everywhere.
The energy system has been restored and stable, but the Podolskaya 330 line is still disconnected. This factor will not allow launching the steelmaking process at the Moldavian Metallurgical Plant. They said at the meeting that power engineers are trying to resolve this issue now.
Boilers for heating were launched the night before. Difficulties arose in the villages of Parkany, Slobodzeya district and Vykhvatintsy, Rybnitsa district. It was possible to increase the temperature in the heating system in almost all cities and regions at night. Experts will check all the equipment during the day today. It is planned by the end of the day to return the supply of hot water according to the previously approved schedule – from evening to morning.
The Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaly Neagu reported in turn that a fire had occurred on the territory of the gas distribution station on the line of the villages of Parkany and Ternovka the night before. A live wire fell on a section of a gas pipeline. The fire broke out due to a fuel leak. Three fire crews arrived. The emergency gas service relieved the pressure to the minimum values in this area that made it possible to eliminate the fire. The gas supply has now been restored.
Employees of emergency rescue units provided assistance to citizens. In particular, they rescued a woman with a one-year-old child who got stuck in an elevator in Tiraspol. In addition, a mobile electric generator was delivered to the Republican Center for Mother and Child, heaters were transferred to the capital's correctional school for deaf children, the hospital for veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the hospital in Slobodzeya, and the Center for Mother and Child in Bendery.
The traffic situation was controlled by 70 traffic militia officers and 20 patrol service officers. According to the Minister of Internal Affairs, there were no traffic accidents due to disconnected traffic lights due to lack of electricity.
As of six in the morning, electricity, gas, heat and water supply are carried out in an uninterrupted mode, said Vitaly Neagu. Breaks occurred in Rybnitsa and Tiraspol, utilities are working to eliminate them due to failures in the system.
