Solemn meeting on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was held in the great hall of the Palace of the Republic. An exhibition of works by Honored Artist of the PMR Sergei Panov "Picturesque Pridnestrovie" was organized in the lobby. The paintings are from the funds of the Pridnestrovian State Art Museum and the personal collection of the author. It also presents folk art products made by pupils of the Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity, the House of Folk Traditions and Crafts, individual entrepreneurs who develop this direction, which is significant for preserving the culture and traditions of the multinational region.
The official part of the solemn event was preceded by a screening of a film about the history of the creation, formation and present day of Pridnestrovie. The President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky addressed the participants of the meeting and in their person to the entire Pridnestrovian people with a solemn congratulatory speech. The PMR President honored the defenders of Pridnestrovie with a minute of silence, who did not live to see the 32nd anniversary of the republic, whose independence was defended. He spoke about the genocide of the Pridnestrovian people, denoting its four signs: the removal of the people living in a certain territory beyond the legal framework; encroachment on history, culture, language; creating unbearable economic conditions; conducting hostilities and organizing terrorist attacks. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the defenders of Pridnestrovie and Russian peacekeepers did not allow the Moldovan nationalists to fully realize their malicious intent. The present of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is independence, the future is international recognition, Vadim Krasnoselsky is sure. He expressed gratitude to the founders of the republic and everyone who defends its independence and prosperity today, congratulated the Pridnestrovians on the Republic Day, wishing peace.
The leadership and people of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic received numerous congratulatory telegrams. Some of them are from the leaders of the fraternal republics of Artsakh and South Ossetia, foreign politicians, public figures, parliamentarians, were read from the stage of the Palace of the Republic.
A concert of masters of art took place at the end of the solemn meeting. The audience was presented with creative performances prepared by artists of the Pridnestrovian State Choir, the State Symphony Orchestra, the State Dance and Folk Music Ensemble "Viorica", the Folk Dance Studio "Nadezhda", the dance center "Expression", the Liberty Quintet and eminent Pridnestrovian vocalists.
