The university church construction continues in Tiraspol. The Church of the Holy Martyr Tatiana was built on the territory of the campus. A stone building on a solid foundation replaced a temporarily installed wooden temple. Finishing work is ahead. The first of three domed crosses was hoisted today. Its consecration was held by the Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Sawa. Svetlana and Vadim Krasnoselsky were the significant event witnesses.
The President keeps the construction of the church and the renovation of the university infrastructure in general under his personal control. The first divine service in the university church is scheduled for the 1st of September. Church utensils have been purchased, the construction organizations involved in the facility are working within the schedule. It is necessary in addition to finishing the temple to improve the area around it. The old fence of the campus in the area in front of the temple has been dismantled on the recommendation of the PMR President. This makes access to the church free not only for students and university staff, but for everyone.
