Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Pridnestrovian volunteers

The PMR President promised to hold a discussion meeting with representatives of volunteer organizations during his recent communication with the youth of the republic. Some questions were raised then related to the organization of volunteer and volunteer activities. Today's conversation is more detailed and specific. The President classified it as a workshop. Members of a dozen organizations, movements, headquarters, whose activities are associated with volunteering, as well as representatives of the PMR Government, the Supreme Council, ministries and departments were invited for participation. The interlocutors came with ready-made developments and proposals.

The main issue is the regulation of volunteer activities. They said at the meeting that the current legislation should be adjusted taking into account modern realities and supported by a regulatory framework. It is important to separate the concepts of volunteerism. A single republican center is needed. It is necessary to decide on the department that will take over the supervision of this direction. The government was instructed to prepare materials by Thursday: a draft document on the creation of a Coordination Center for the Volunteer Movement in Pridnestrovie, proposals for a candidate for the Head of this agency, and the composition of a working group. It is necessary to decide in the future on a mechanism for formation of a single database of volunteers as well as those who need their help. We discussed issues related to documenting participation in the volunteer movement and possible preferences. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized at the same time that volunteering is based on the principle of voluntary participation.

More local aspects were touched upon during the meeting. They talked about the need for a widespread increase in the number of containers for garbage collection, greening of settlements, and attracting citizens to participate in environmental campaigns. They raised the topic of preserving monuments to participants in the Great Patriotic War. The President was given a list of objects that require attention: some - carrying out repair and restoration work, others - making amendments to the accompanying information labels. They also mentioned the monuments located on the territory of enterprises that had ceased operations. Their fate will also have to be determined, and it is necessary for this to carry out appropriate research work.

Presidential instructions were given following the meeting. The second meeting is planned. Legislative amendments must be formulated no later than September of the current year.
