According to the information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 4716 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 at the moment. 2124 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. There are 10 hospitals deployed in the republic, designed for 2322 patients. 282 hospital beds are occupied In the hospital of Slobodzeya, 323 in the Rybnitsa hospital, 244 in the hospital of Dubossary, 239 in the hospital based on the city hospital of Bendery, 125 in the hospital on the basis of the mother and child center, 432 in the Tiraspol hospital on the basis of the republican clinical hospital, 164 at the hospital for invalids, 203 at the Tirotex dispensary, 81 at the hospital of Kamenka. The specialized department is open for isolated stay and treatment of infected wards of the psychiatric hospital in the village of Vykhvatintsy, Rybnitsa District, there are 31 patients. 69 carriers of the virus have been identified at the penal institution-3. They were isolated on site, provided with adequate treatment and enhanced nutrition. They will be transferred to the Slobodzeya hospital if their condition worsens. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that carriers of COVID-19 who are in the Vykhvatintsy hospital and in institutions of the penitentiary system should be sent for a CT scan if necessary.
The total workload of the Pridnestrovian hospital network is 91.5%. 413 people are hard to tolerate the coronavirus – 19% of the total number of hospitalized at the moment citizens, 56 are patients in intensive care units, six are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. 2523 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. 268 such patients needed hospitalization from 18 to 24 October. The number of children infected with coronavirus has increased to one hundred people (5% of active carriers of the virus).
10489 samples of the biomaterial of citizens with suspicion of infection were examined during the week (315480 during the entire time of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 3197 cases. The average daily incidence is 457 (a week earlier 385). In total, 65058 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic. 1476 carriers of the virus – 2.3% of cases – died (forty-six deaths during the week), 58866 people – 90% of those infected – coped with the disease (2453 recovered during the reporting week). 3669 Pridnestrovians are in mandatory self-isolation.
95 classrooms in 35 general educational institutions of secondary education, as well as 30 groups in 29 kindergartens, were quarantined in the republic from 18 to 24 October.
3043 Pridnestrovians underwent a full course of vaccination during the reporting period. 108595 people were vaccinated totally against COVID-19 in the republic, or 28.4% of the adult population.
