Dubossary Region, November 5. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. This week, it is planned to complete work on a new water pipeline installation in the village of Dubovo, Dubossary District.
Water supply networks reconstruction began last year. There was drilled a new well, a tower was installed and 3,600 meters of new water supply networks were laid in the village.
“We are restoring piped water supply in Dubovo village in two stages. The first one was implemented in 2019 in one part of the village. This year we continue to lay new lines, and there are another 600 meters left to install. The total length of the new water pipeline will be 4,100 meters. We have already connected 21 households to the central network,” Valery Yatsko, the master of water supply networks of the Dubossary section of the State Unitary Enterprise Water Supply and Sewerage said.
According to experts, the work on laying new networks is complicated by the complex terrain. The village is located on a hill, and now work is being carried out in the lower part of the settlement, where there is also rocky ground, rocky terrain, narrow street, which an underground gas pipeline is laid on.
Thanks to the new well and networks in the village, water supply will also improve in social institutions - kindergarten and school. The villagers, who have experienced difficulties with water shortages for many years, especially in summer, are looking forward to the work completion.
“In especially warm weather, the water in the wells located above disappeared altogether, and inhabitants of the upper streets had to bring it from the lower part of the village. Now we won't have problems with water thanks to the central water supply. We can take it to the house for domestic needs, and water the garden in summer. Thank you for doing good for us,” Ivan Lupol, a resident of Dubovo village said.
This year, public water supply in the Dubossary Region also appeared in the villages of Novaya Lunga and Boska. The work on laying the water pipe is carried out by specialists of the Dubossary branch of the State Unitary Enterprise Water Supply and Sewerage within the framework of the enterprise`s investment program. Next year, new water supply networks will be laid in the village of Doibany-2.
