Tiraspol, 14 December. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In August 2014 Pridnestrovie launched the first (pilot) stage of a presidential programme Alfavit. It aims to equip the country's educational institutions with interactive boards, which have been purchased at the expense of the Pridnestrovian Humanitarian Fund.
Interactive boards are new-generation multimedia devices designed for raising the education process to a qualitatively new level and optimising study hours. At the first stage of the programme implementation, four boards were installed in a few schools in Rybnitsa and the Rybnitsa district. The price of the project amounted to about $10.000," said the education minister, Tatyana Tsivinskaya.
The second stage of the presidential programme was launched in October 2015.
«As a result, fifty more boards have been purchased through the Pridnestrovian Humanitarian Fund. They have been supplied not only to municipal but also to countryside schools, including Moldavian language schools.
Forty-eight Interactive boards have already been installed in secondary schools and two more in vocational colleges. The implementation of the two stages of the Alfavit programme has cost nearly a million roubles. This is a considerable amount, but education is the country's future, and investing in education means investing in our future, our children," said the minister, clarifying that 54 boards were bought over the two stages.
«In addition, another 42 boards have been purchased at the expense of other sources. This equipment has also been supplied to cities' and districts' schools. As a result, for instance, almost all schools in Tiraspol, 25 in number, and seven schools in Rybnitsa are equipped with boards. The country's general provision with interactive boards is about 50%," said Tatyana Tsivinskaya.
According to her, Pridnestrovian State Institute of Education Development was assigned to train school teachers to use the new equipment. At the first stage, teachers were trained at the Rybnitsa branch of Pridnestrovian State University.
«The Ministry of Education, heads of education institutions, teachers and parents have already requested the president to continue the implementation of the Alfavit project this year," concluded the education minister.
