With a rising activity of the neighbouring states' special services, the investigative work was organised and carried out by Pridnestrovie's Committee for State Security (KGB) in cooperation with the President's Security Service in order to reveal the sources of information leakage in the bodies of state power, says the KGB's official website.
The investigation has revealed a number of officials leaking non-public confidential information. The enquiry is underway. It is decided whether a criminal case should be brought against them.
"The information spread in the Internet allegedly in the name of the chairman of the Central Electoral Commission is the fabrication prepared and used for carrying out operational search activities," the KGB press service reports.
