Pridnestrovian MFA and UN Human Rights Office outline plans for cooperation

The parties noted the joint contribution to the development of a framework for human rights in Pridnestrovie

Tiraspol, December 9. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Foreign Ministry of Pridnestrovie hosted a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Stetsyuk and Advisor to the UN Human Rights Office Beya Ferenczi.

The interlocutors summed up the results of cooperation this year and discussed plans for further cooperation. In particular, they noted the joint contribution to the development of a framework in the field of human rights in Pridnestrovie and exchanged views on the prospects for the implementation of projects within the framework of the UN Peacebuilding Fund, the press service of the PMR MFA reports.

The parties spoke in favor of the need to depoliticize human rights issues in the framework of the negotiation process and the importance of conducting a constructive discussion in the interests of the people.

At the end of the meeting, its participants agreed to continue a substantive discussion of project initiatives in the field of protection and observance of human rights.
