The renewal of the infrastructure of law enforcement agencies of the republic, prescribed in the Strategy for the Development of Pridnestrovie, continues. This is one of the priorities of domestic policy. A new building was put into operation in a solemn atmosphere today, where the work of the Slobodzeya department of the border guard of the PMR Ministry of State Security was organized. The event was held on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the creation of the border service of Pridnestrovie (the border authorities of the republic were formed on September 14, 1992). The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky visited the opening of the administrative building after a major overhaul.
Addressing the personnel, participants and guests of the solemn ceremony, the PMR President noted: “There is no border without a border service, there is no state without a border. It is the border service that meets the guests of our republic, it is the border service that is responsible for protecting the state border. As for the protection of the state border, this is not the classic, as is commonly believed, when a border guard with a dog on the control strip guards the borders. No, the protection of the state border is completely different now. Operational work is very important, the coherence of departments is important, intellectual and technical capabilities and abilities are important, taking into consideration the new realities. There is completely different level. Border service was held in Pridnestrovie. I am glad that the Cossacks provide all possible support for serving on the state border, preserving their traditions – for the sake of which the Cossacks were created in the Russian Empire in fact. The times are not easy, all of you perfectly understand what is happening around. The border service is entrusted with double responsibility, even triple responsibility for protecting our borders, for ensuring the peace and security of our state. If a person went to the border service, he must understand that his Motherland is behind him, and there is nowhere to retreat.
Vadim Krasnoselsky, accompanied by the Minister of State Security, the leadership of the Border Department of the Ministry of State Security of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the Slobodzeya department, as well as the Head of the district administration, inspected the new premises, asked about the availability of machinery and equipment. Previously, an adapted building was given to the administrative needs of the Slobodzeya division of the border service, the condition and location of which raised many reasonable questions. The new building meets all standards and requirements, the premises are equipped. Thought out administrative offices, classrooms for conducting classes with personnel, a catering unit is equipped, a rest room is provided. The interlocutors discussed further infrastructure plans of the department, noting the importance of creating comfortable and safe working conditions.
