The head of state spoke about the attempt to discredit Russian peacekeepers

According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, such actions are more dangerous than the failed arson of the Military Commissariat office

Tiraspol, May 24. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The President of Pridnestrovie spoke about the attempt initiated by the law enforcement agencies of Moldova to discredit the Russian military personnel. According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, such actions can pose an even greater threat than an attempt to sabotage the Military Commissariat initiated by some “Ivan” associated with the Moldovan security forces.

Recall, according to the information voiced in the report of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, that same "Ivan", associated with the Moldovan security forces and supervised the sabotage at the Military Commissariat, offered money to citizens for discrediting photographs in Russian military uniform and also asked for help to contact certain Russian military to get some information from him in exchange for money and help with moving to Europe.

“An attempt to find the Russian military, offer him political asylum is also from there, also an attempt to discredit him. To discredit the peacekeepers in the first place and the Russian armed forces in general. It is very dangerous. Globally, for peace (we are now talking about peace, about stability in the regional space), this action is worse than setting fire to the Military Commissariat,” the PMR President said.

Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the calls for the withdrawal of Russian troops and peacekeepers from Pridnestrovie, coming from various Moldovan politicians, are also a provocation.

At the same time, the President recalled that Russian peacekeepers are on the banks of the Dniester on a legal basis, following the official agreement concluded in 1992.

“This agreement is valid, no one has withdrawn from it. So, based on this agreement, starting from August 1992, peacekeepers - Russian, Pridnestrovian, and Moldovan peacekeepers - are serving together. This format has not been canceled. And to date, it is still necessary for stability in the region,” the head of state stated.
