Artem Delyanu from Bendery won a bronze medal at the European Championships in Greek-Roman Wrestling

Competitions were held in Bulgaria

Tiraspol, March 09/Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Athlete Artem Delyanu from Bendery took third place in the weight category up to 55 kilograms at the European Youth Championships held in Plovdiv (Bulgaria).

According to the PMR State Sports press service, the Pridnestrovian wrestler defeated the Greece representative Ilias Zayrakis in the quarterfinals, but conceded Emre Mutlu from Turkey in the semifinals and defeated Steven Ecker from Germany in the consolation round for bronze medal.

Artem Delyanu is training at the Badanov Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Wrestling Reserve in Bendery under the Andrey Vyalshin direction. This’s the second success of Bendery citizen in these competitions. Two years ago, in the Spanish city of Pontevedra, he also took the bronze medal of the Youth Championships, being two years younger than his opponents.
