Tiraspol, January 13 /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. According to the PMR Foreign Affairs Ministry, the RM’s power structures in the Causeni town’s custom terminal illegally opened a car belonging to a Pridnestrovian carrier and, impounded a batch of Pridnestrovian license plates.
“We consider another provocation by Chisinau, aimed at aggravating problems in the transport sector to violate rights and interests of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic’s inhabitants as evidence of the RM’s refusal to take any adequate actions in negotiations with Pridnestrovie,” the message reports.
The report emphasizes, that the unacceptable and illegal actions of Moldova’s representatives of power structures will entail inevitable criminal procedural consequences.
The PMR Foreign Affairs Ministry urged international partners to respond to every destructive action of Chisinau, which rudely violates existing negotiation process agreements. These actions also lead to the demolition of the vehicle registration items’ mechanism and restrict the Pridnestrovian drivers' participation in international road traffic.
In September of the previous year, Ukrainian authorities with the filing of the Moldovan authorities banned travel through the border of cars with Pridnestrovian license plate numbers. To enter the neighboring state territory, the so-called neutral license plate number is required, which can be obtained at the vehicle registration point in Tiraspol or Rybnitsa. At the same time, the Pridnestrovian license plate number presence is inevitable. At the end of the previous year, the Moldovan power structures detained a batch of neutral and Pridnestrovian license plates, which led to the stopping of vehicle registration items (VRP) working. Every attempt to return the seized consignment hasn’t led to success yet.
VRP in Tiraspol and Rybnitsa were created after signing on April 24, 2018, the protocol decision on the vehicles from Pridnestrovie participation. They don’t implement commercial activities in international road traffic. In VRP, drivers can get neutral license plate numbers without which it’s impossible to enter not only EU countries but also Ukraine.
