Pridnestrovian kickboxers became winners of World Cup in Hungary

Totally, more than three thousand athletes from 45 world countries took part in the competition

Tiraspol, September 20 /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovian athletes took part in the WAKO-2021 Kickboxing World Cup. The competitions took place from 16 to 19 September in Hungary. Totally, more than three thousand athletes from 45 countries of the world participated in them.

According to the Internal Affairs Ministry website, the republican public organization the Dinamo-Center Fitness and Sports Society in Budapest presented 11 Pridnestrovian athletes. Excellent results were shown by our team.

Victor Nechitailo together with Timur Parfentiev took first places in the low-kick section in their weight categories among seniors and younger juniors, respectively.

Sofia Kostyuk won a silver medal in the kick-light section in the weight category up to 37 kg among junior cadets.

Artem Korolev together with Alexey Chiley won third places in the kick-light and light-contact sections among cadets in the weight category up to 37 kg as well as 47 kg, respectively.

The bronze medal was won by Evgeniy Platon in the weight category up to 48 kg in the low-kick section among juniors.

Among the competition participants is Maxim Kazaku, the PMR Honored Sports Master. He performed in the K-1 section (up to 57 kg). Another seven athletes came to assay their strength as well as sports mastery on the international arena in the same weight category. According to the competitions results, our fellow countryman, two-time world champion Maxim Kazaku became the World Cup gold medalist.

“It was my second World Cup in such category. All competitors are vastly trained and experienced athletes. As stated, I had to sweat, but the victory was mine,” Maxim Kazaku noted.
