Pridnestrovian athletes have good results in Bulgaria

Athletes are candidates for participation in the European Junior Championships

Tiraspol, May 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Yunost international athletics tournament was held in the Bulgarian city of Ruse. Athletes between 13-17 years of age from the Bulgarian as well as Ukrainian, Romanian and Moldavian cities took part in. The Moldavian team included eight people, three of them were from Pridnestrovie, the Radio 1 reports.

Each of our athletes became a prize winner. Marina Yusumbeli won the competition in the triple jump with a result of 12 meters and 25 centimeters long. She is the only one participant to overpass the 12 meters mark.

Nikita Kalinin won a silver medal in the long jump of 6 meters 74 centimeters long. All athletes are trainees of the Bendery Sports School No.3. Ksenia Bergi from Tiraspol also won silver in the 400-meter race (in 58.86 seconds). About 23 athletes competed in this athletic discipline. As the result the Romanian representative won the competition.

In the period from 15 to 16 May, the Moldavian Championships, which will be a pre-qualifying one for the European Championships as well as the Balkan Junior Championships, will be hosted in Chisinau.

Pridnestriovian athletes, who performed in Bulgaria, as well as a high jumper Anna Bulat became candidates for participation in the European Championships. It will be hosted by the Italian city of Rieti in the period from 26 to 29 August. At the moment athletes are showing results within close range of the required standards.
